Can I use a dustbuster to get hair out of a drain?

By Cut

The tub isn’t draining that well I think because of hair stuck in it. I have a mesh over the drain to help prevent that, but someone keeps moving it! Good idea or bad idea to use dustbuster?
Hah so you think it’s a bad idea? I tried to get it out with tweezers but the holes are so small in the drain!

might as well, cup your mouth over it, and proceed to sucking it out. are you serious?

get a wire, or a hair clip, long enough to reach down there, and play with it. the hair will come out. just need patience..

I would not recommend using a dustbuster that way. I would just get some product of your choice to pour down the drain to get rid of the hair that is clogging your drain

First remove the cover. Should have a screw directly in the center of the drain. With a pair of long nose (Needle nose)pliers, or a bent piece of wire, grab and pull up on as much hair as possible.

But don’t use the dust buster, first it won’t create enough vacuum, second it is made for dry material. (Use a wet dry vac instead).

My wife has long hair and shed quite a bit. This is a monthly chore for me, unpleasant, but the needle nose pliers and patience works wonders.
