Can I use an electric hand mixer to make hummus?
ByI want to make hummus, but I don’t have a food processor (or a blender), but I have an electric hand mixer and I was wondering if I could use that. I don’t want to spend extra money on a food processor because I know I won’t use it very often. Thanks in advance.

I don’t think you can, just because it wouldn’t puree it. I seriously would consider investing in a food processor or blender, i use mine at least once a week, it’s so handy, and they last forever. In the years to come i think you’ll appreciate having one. And if nothing else, you’ll have great hummus lol

probably….. but I think I would mash the chickpeas first w/ the bottom of a drinking glass, to give them a head start.

You can if you want to wear it and not eat it.

A hand held stick blender will work well.
