Can Turbotax Deluxe be re-used if the 2nd person lives in a different state?
ByIf i buy a used copy of TT deluxe off of Ebay, will it work for me in NY? The seller says he used it to file a State return in Illinois. Thanks.

Turbotax will charge you to download the different state’s software.

You can do another federal return. Most state returns are pretty easy to do by hand. You input your income from the federal return, make a few minor adjustments and you’re good to go.

Don’t buy used software. It’s not legal. By the time you pay the e-filing fees (you get 5 free e-files with new software but not with the used software) you’ll be paying MORE for the used software anyway.

No it will not work for you and you do not need to by TT software at all. Just go to turbotax.com.
And bostonianinmo is correct it is illegal and will cost you more in the end to file.
