Does anyone have a solution for how to waterproof climbing gear?
ByIm trying to make what I believe is a first ascent of a 30′ cliff, about a 5.8, but I always fall into the pool below it and have to wait for my chalk to dry. pleez help!

I think the best way to keep your gear dry is to focus on not falling into the pool by using a rope and climbing equipment instead of free climbing. Otherwise, since your chalk bag has to be open as you climb, it seems to me it would be pretty difficult to close it as you’re falling.

If you know your gonna fall in the water, keep some extra chalk on the ground. For everything else Kiwi makes a good waterproofing in an aerosol can that works well.

put the gear inside bags and tie a knot on the bag.
