How can i make my hair straight without a straightner or blow dryer?

By Cut

I have a straightner and blow dryer, but I don’t want to use them anymore because they dry out my hair. I don’t want anything chemical that can be bad for my hair…I have long, thin, wavy/curly hair, is there any way I can get it straight with hairspray, conditioner, shampoo, etc? Thanks!

Take a little bit of hair spray and spritz it on your hair…Then take your brush and brush it in. You have to do it a few times.

I’d like to know the answer to this too lol as i think i have the same hair type as u! but id say you will always have to use straighteners! if i wash my hair at night i dont use a blow dryer, but in the morning i use straighteners and my hairs fine. just make sure u wash hair well and condition so it wont go too dry. u can get ’smooth and sleek’ shampoos n conditioners all for straight hair which you could try

When I was in my teens, I used to do something called a ‘Wrap Set’, that entailed taking a VERY large roller and setting your crown with it, and then slowly using a wide toothed comb, “wrap” the rest of your hair around your head and securing with flat clips – NOT bobby clips, unless they are the long, flat kind. This takes some work, and you would probably do it in the evening when you’re not going out again, but it will give you a very nice smooth shiny result. From your description, we have the same hair.
Another thing I just thought of – get a good quality “leave-in” conditioner, (Aveeno makes a good one) and use it whether you decide to set it or not. It’ll help nourish the heat damaged follicles, although nothing “cures” damaged hair.
