How can I program my remote control for my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan?

By Cut

I own a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan, and it is controlled mainly by remote control. In order to turn the light or fan on, I need to use the remote; the wall switch only controls if there is power going to it or not.

Recently, I noticed the battery on my remote was dying (it has a little blinking indicator for low battery life). So, absent-mindendly of the consequences, I changed the battery. Now the remote won’t work at all. Even though the numbers and such show up the same as usual, the fan unit doesn’t respond.

Do I need to reprogram the remote after switching the battery? And how would I go about doing that?
The Control is a Harbor Breeze LCD Remote Control, if that helps.

This is a Lowes brand, and I tried searching, but their site is down now for maintenance.

I would suggest starting with a trip to Lowes if you can’t find the directions, or they don’t help you, and you can’t find any reset switches (there should be one on the fan, the remote, or both).

Here is the link to the google search anyways…it isn’t really helpful right now…but your answer may reside there if it becomes available any time soon.
