How do I remove a firewall which is preventing me from using Limewire?

By Cut

It is not Norton Personal Firewall or the Windows Firewall both of which have Limewire as an exception. Yet Limewire indicates the presence of a firewall. I have another computer using my connection via wireless. Could that be it and what do I do to remove the firewall?

It is probably the firewall at the router. Add Limewire to the trusted zone there.

Also, if you are running both Norton and Windows firewalls on your PC, generally that is not a good idea. Not only do they compete for system resources slowing down your computer, but they can cause conflicts with each other. Turn off one or the other (your router firewall is separate from these).
