How do you make a simple but effective FM antenna for a home stereo receiver?

By Cut

I have a Pioneer VSX-605S receiver but have not antenna for the thing. It gets only 1 station in without an antenna and it is clear. all other stations are fuzz.

It has the hookups in the back for FM and AM. I read on one article that you can take a speaker wire about 10 feet long and clip it in and that will work.

any other ideas?

Usually an FM antenna in a receiver is just a wire you plug in so yeah, that sounds about right. Can be less than 10ft I think.

A t-shaped antenna made out of 300-ohm dipole wire works great, is inexpensive, and easy to make if you have some of this wire around.

If not, you can buy one for $1.29 + shipping from Summit Source. Link is below.
