Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
I shave daily, and usually don’t replace my blade but once every too weeks. Depends on the blade, if it starts feeling dull and pulling the whisker, or starts nicking the skin, it is time to change the blade. Not all blades are equal—one from a pack might last two good weeks, the next one only a week, so pay attention to how a blade is doing and not the timing. I’ve had some I’ve used 3-4 weeks without changing and I have a heavy beard.
