How to get rid of the oils from candles that seeped into my pourous wood top bedside table?

By Cut

My niece set her blue colored candles on my pourous topped table without anything underneath them. Now I have blue colored candle stain on my table top. And it’s a major mess. Smells good though…LOL

Is there a way to get this out? Or am I out of luck? Thank you…

you can try this but no guarantees. take a towel that you care NOTHING about and a hot iron place the towel over the waxy stain and melt the wax into the towel this will absorb a great deal of the wax. there is a possibility it may take some or all of the colors out with it. If it is porous and your not afraid to sand it just a little with 160 grit paper PROVIDING IT IS NOT A VERY EXPENSIVE ANTIQUE PIECE. THEN USE SOMETHING LIKE Old English scratch remover on the top.
if you have any more questions holler back at me and I will try to help you out more if possible

I can only suggest that you take two layers of brown paper place on top of the stain and with a warm, not too (hot) iron, press the wax until most of it is absorbed onto the brown paper. When the wax is off, you could use some Murphy’s Wood Soap and a little hot water and scrub the spot clean. Using a clean soft rag, wipe the spot dry until it shines.
Good luck
