the reason for the water is that the oil flotes on top and therefor you don’t have to use much oil

I know another trick you can do with a wine bottle, getting drunk. Doesn’t work with empty bottles though.

Used cooking oil can be used also. This way you no longer need to throw used oil (which is not good for the environment).

I love this idea. You can also use pommace olive oil as fuel. One thing though, these bottles are too tall and unstable.
