Is a burned printer cable dangerous to my health?

By Cut

I recently was ironing, and I left the room while the iron was on. The iron fell off the table and on to the floor and when I got back to the room, it had melted part of my printer cable. I quickly removed the iron , and there wasn’t any smoke. However, the melted plastic is still stuck to the carpet (i covered it up though) and the printer cable still miraculously works. That being said, is it still dangerous in my room given that burned plastic can be dangerous? Or is it such a small amount that I shouldn’t be worried about it?
