Is it bad to reuse Snapple glass bottles to store water, juice, etc. for leisurely drinking?
ByI’ve been told it’s bad to reuse the plastic soda bottles because toxins from the plastic eventually will leech into the fluids. However, if it is a glass bottle, like the 16 oz Snapple bottle, this couldn’t possibly happen and it is perfectly safe to use for years on end, correct?

If you had to re-use them, I’d boil the glass every so often to clean them. The glass is re-usable this way but the metal cap is not.

Glass is safer than plastic. I would use the glass.

Since it is glass, I think it doesn’t have the cancer-causing toxins we read about. My only concern is the metal bottle cap. Over time, it might corrode and that will be a big health problem.
I think Snapple bottles are okay for reuse but only up to a certain time and only, as one of the posters suggested, if they are boiled or thoroughly cleaned every now and then to make sure bacteria/germs do not accumulate. Afterwards, the bottle cap may become rusty and you get seriously sick.
