The katana itself has a 27.5 inch blade of 1045 carbon steel. This blade has been hand sharpened so take caution with it! An 11 inch handle features a Japanese black silk cord wrap over the real rayskin wrapped tsuka (handle). The handle is double pegged for security. The saya (scabbard) has been done in a nice glossy black reflective lacquered finish with a black sageo (cord wrap around scabbard). The tsuba (guard) is two tone in color and a square design. The tsuba provides a black backdrop for two samurai warriors locked in a duel and done in a gold tone finish. 40.5 inches overall length.
