What are some unique ideas for decorating a bathroom with a hotwheels theme?
By CutI am redoing a bathroom in our house with a matchbox car/ hotwheels theme. I am trying to come up with some really creative ideas for incorporating this into the function of a bathroom. Most creative wins!
BeeBee: i would love to see some drawing but you can’t seem to be “contactable”, perhaps you could email me?

where the toilet paper holder is….you could make it to be fluffy clouds and . You could have race tracks all around and you could have little cars painted on the walls with the numbers and names of real race car drivers. the floor would have to be black and white checkered. the curtains could be made to look like racing flags.

If you want I could totally sketch this up and send it to you! I love designing things. You could make the toilet seat look like a wheel of a car. Do a border around the mirror to make it look like a race track, oh yeah! Are your walls painted or are you putting up wallpaper??? If you paint it then you could make it look like stands full of people watching the cars speed by. Also, you could paint the walls so that a race track crosses the ceiling. With it upside down on the ceiling, you could make it look like how on those toys the cars will sometimes go through a loop. Good luck!

Some wheel rims,truck bed mat,lights,toolbox can be made to hold a sink. Or toolbox for bathroom items. Copy Emblem or use the real thing ,check junk yards.stainless steel moulding and trim.
Flag fabric for curtains or actually decoupage them(flags) to the walls.
Do seal both the rims and decoupaged flags.
Junk yard may have some really cool stuff and a decent price.
You could add a matchbox car to the rims,the rims could even be used as towel rack.
Or you can use a windshield for a tile theme. Again junkyard buy.
Use a glass paint and cover in your favorite hot-wheel color dry and seal. then bust it up and get some grout. Make a pattern by copying something like a flag or a car.
You can buy some carpet remnants or have it cut to size and make your own rug. Just flip carpet over and draw your pattern out, perhaps a wheel shape in black and a rim shape in a grey.. these can be glued together. Street signs,traffic lights all would apply.
Not to much. keep the plan simple. you want the eye to see everything but not all at once all piled together with to much to view.
Use a crow bar/lug-nut wrench for a towel rack,you can paint and seal your color theme.
Do some ligts in amber or green along the floor maybe LED’s (car LED’s come to mind those cars with glowing lights underneath.)
You can even possible use some from the car part store and wire them up for night lights.(check coding and safety)
Green = Start the race
Yellow = Slow down, caution
Red = Stop the race
White = Final lap
Black = Go to the pit for consultation
Black with white X = Disqualified driver
Blue with orange diagonal stripe = Passing
Checkered black and white = Race over
Take inventory of what you do have and ask yourself if it can be reused redone to match your decor.
Break down your project in small steps including tools and knowledge.
Have fun..
Things can be as simple as some black paint painted around the room in a curving wavy line(small roller) and add some yellow dashes and you have a road. Hang some cars on that road and you have a simple decor item.
Not to much and yet eye catching.

How about using apothecary jars and filling them with cars and racing related items. Use contrasting colored bath towels and rugs.
