What are the classes of fire extinguisher?
ByI know that class A is for wood fire, class B for gasoline and grease fire, and class C for electrical fire. But what does a class D fire extinguisher do? Please help I got a quiz tomorrow on this stuff. I also know that a class ABC fire extinguisher can be used for all 3 different types of fire, so is it true that class D can be used for all types of fires? Or is there a specific kind?

Class D fire extinguishers are commonly found in a chemical laboratory. They are for fires that involve combustible metals, such as magnesium, titanium, potassium and sodium. These types of extinguishers also have no numerical rating, nor are they given a multi-purpose rating – they are designed for class D fires only.
