What did you think of the G.I. Joe movie trailer shown during the Super Bowl? Does it look interesting?

What did you think of the Super Bowl commercial for the upcoming G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra movie? Do you think it will do the 1980’s cartoon justice? From the Trailer, what do you think of it so far?
For those who have not seen it yet, here it is:

G.I. Joe fans of the 80’s cartoon, overall the franchise, do you have high expectations for this movie? or do you think Stephen Sommers has butchered your childhood already?
I like G.I. Joe, but not enough to consider myself a fan of it, because I have never gotten a chance to view episodes on DVD.

To be honest….I haven’t yet decided. It can easily go either way with this. It’s not really on my radar when there are other films out this year that you know for sure are going to be awesome.

I would have to see more of the film to know if I want to see it or not. But at the moment I am thinking I will wait for the DVD and see something else.

It made me really want to see the movie but i always get like that with things from my childhood that are made in to movies, i was like that with transformers but that movie sucked bc Micheal Bay has only directed 2 good movies in his career and that is Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2. G.I Joe is directed by Stephen Sommers and his resume is really not that impressive, the only decent movie he has directed is the Mummy (which wasnt bad but it wasnt great either) I hope this film is good but i doubt it. I just wish there were better directors out there.

It’s gonna suck. I know it’s gonna suck. They’re gonna f*** it up just like they did Transformers.
