What kind of cheesecake would you take to a wine and cheese party?
ByI’m not sure what wines will be served, but I wanted to bring cheesecake (I love making and eating cheesecake!). I’ve wanted to try a mint chocolate cheesecake but I really can’t think of a worse flavor to mix with wine! So what do you suggest?

I’d just make good ol regular cheese cake. I love wine and cheese, but cheese cake sounds great I may try that tonight!

Plain cheesecake – but pair it with an interesting topping: cherries, strawberries, or a combination of other berries.

make a savory cheesecake instead of sweet one.

I would take a plain cheesecake but take several toppings that guests can add on their own… fresh strawberries, blueberies, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, and maybe some walnuts…
Have you specifically been asked to bring cheesecake? With all the other cheeses at the party, guests may find something like a fruit tart or strawberry shortcake more refreshing.

Be different, make a “savory” cheese cake to be served with the assorted cheeses and wine. You will find recipes for herb based or even seafood types.

I agree with you… mint and wine do not mix at all, lol! As a wine lover I would have to say that your best bet is some sort of chocolate cheesecake. Either plain with a layer of chocolate or just a chocolate cheesecake or maybe you could do a white chocolate cheesecake with a milk or dark chocolate layer on top. Chocolate will compliment white sweet wines and will go amazingly well with red wines as well. I hope this helps – good luck!
