One day Acuvue contacts are something of a niche product.  These are my favorite contacts in nearly thirty years of wearing contacts.  They work best in some cases, but there’s a price to pay.  Here’s what I mean…

It’s more expensive to use these lenses than some models.  That’s because you throw them away every day.  For a thrifty person, that’s a bit hard to deal with.  There’s something a little disturbing about pitching almost brand new lenses.  There’s a trade-off though.

See, you don’t have to buy all those chemicals anymore.  Not only that, you don’t have to do all the cleaning and storing.  There’s also less chance of eye infection either.  That’s because you get a fresh, new, perfectly clean pair of lenses every day.  No more contacts maintenance with these…

Here’s where the real niche part comes in…  What if a person doesn’t wear contacts every day?  See… that’s me.  With 2 week lenses or 1 month lenses, the cost for wearing them might be even higher than these.  That’s because the longer wear lenses must be disposed of after the specified time, no matter how many times you’ve worn them.  So for contact wearers who don’t use the lenses every day, the 1 days are a perfect choice.

After wearing the regular 1 Day  and the 1 Day Acuvue Moist, I can say I’m a fan of these.  The Moist model is a bit more comfortable for long day wear for me.  Seems the moist feature does prevent drying of my eyes after many hours of wear.
